My presentation at the International Typographic Association’s (Association Typographique Internationale, or ATypI) 2018 conference in Antwerp, Belgium.

Presenting was a real honor, but I realized two important things: first, I’m so used to talking extemporaneously in class that I’ve never bothered to learn how to use Keynote, a problem I plan to remedy. Second, the best slide presentations require only minimal notes—if you’re planning a presentation so complex that you need a script, you’d be better off focusing on one or two aspects of what you want to say, showing more images, and referring your audience to more detail elsewhere.
